This is a tasty sauce that can be used as a dressing or dip for many dishes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar – use normal vinegar if you don’t have balsamic
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves of garlic crushed
  • 1/4  teaspoon red chili flakes or cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried ginger spice
  • 1 tablespoons corn flour
  • 50ml water
  • sea salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Combine the water and corn flour
  2. Place all the other ingredients in a pot on the stove and bring to a boil
  3. Slowly stir in the water and corn flour mix until the mixture thickens to a syrupy consistency

You can use this as a dip or sauce, hot or cold.
